July 14th, 2018 was a beautiful summer day here in Newport, RI. Shiloh and I spent the day at Gurney’s Newport with Ashley + Wayne for their wedding day. Of all my weddings this one had the most calm and collected feel to it. They worked with me on their timeline making sure we set aside moments for them to just spend together celebrating their day. Ashley + Wayne did a first look followed by all of their formal portraits. I am not going to lie, I’m such a sucker for the first look. It’s the only time during the whole wedding day where the couple gets to be alone and enjoy each other before the whirlwind of the ceremony + reception begins. Putting aside time for these moments is key. Ashley + Wayne were able to enjoy the day with each other and even spent time with their guests during cocktail hour and the reception. They were truly present during their wedding day and it showed by the smiles on their faces. It was a gorgeous wedding with some amazing vendors! The band had the dance floor going all night! At the end of the night there were even surprise fireworks! We are so happy for Ashley + Wayne, they are such a wonderful couple and we are truly honored we were able to spend their day with them.
