Blush Boudoir | Celebrating Breast Cancer Survivors with Boudoir Photography

Hi, I'm Kim Lyn. Inspired by the coastlines I call home, my work blends timeless beauty with an effortless, modern feel.

You guys know how much boudoir photography means to me and how much I believe in the experience changing women’s lives.  This project may have changed my clients lives but it changed mine as well.  A few months back my good friend Leslie Wong, CEO of Burgundy Fox Co reached out because she really wanted to work on a project to celebrate the women of Young Survivors Coalition.  These women are fighters, they are warriors, they are superheros….they are also Breast Cancer Survivors.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and I wanted to take some time to share this beautiful project with you.

Leslie owns a company called Burgundy Fox Co, a digital brand that empowers and celebrates all women by curating lingerie in sizes XS-6X. Through personalization and content, that strives to encourage mind and body confidence in all women.  She really wanted to take a day to celebrate these women with a day of pampering, connection, beautiful photographs, and embracing themselves.  She contacted a group of local vendors to put it all together.  There was photo shoots, massages, snacks, champagne, jewelry, gift bags, and so much more.  The part that really stuck out to me was the women’s stories.  When I first signed on to the project I knew it would pull at my heart strings but I had no idea what an impact these women would truly have on my life.  I think I can speak for everyone involved when I say these women are the definition of inspiring.  They are the definition of HOPE.  They are super heroes.  I am honored to have met each and every one of them.  Not going to lie, there was a ton of tears but there was also so much laughter and hugs and love.

I want to take a moment to remind everyone to do their monthly Breast checks and make sure to get those mammograms done.  Breast Cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in women.  The earlier it is diagnosed, the better the outcome.  Raise Awareness and be involved!  I am so blessed to be surrounded by such giving creatives.  Every single person involved in this project donated their time and resources to celebrate these women.  We all came together in the spirit of community to celebrate these women.

Thank you to the nine brave women who shared their stories and their journey’s with us.  You are beautiful, fierce, strong, and inspire me to be a better person.  You have each made an imprint in my heart that will be there forever.  Thank you.  I love you.
